Really sick of the Tests

Well, another test finished. I am really getting burned out on taking tests. This semester it's Educational Psychology and Fundamentals of Teaching; almost the same class but covers different parts of a degree. Now I am working on a research paper due tomorrow night. Of course I'll get it done because I always do, but I won't have fun doing it.

We finally had a sunny day. Tim was out cleaning the yard and getting things ready to start planting. We will try planting some more grass this year to keep the mud out. The dogs sure do drag it in. Of course, we are suppose to get some rain this week.

The rest of the week has been pretty uneventful. We will be on Spring break in two weeks. It will be great having a week off. Maybe something more exciting will come up next posting.

Snow Again

Yes, it snowed this week end. The snow turned to rain, sleet, and windy wind. It was nice until we had to do stuff outside. The nights are still quite cold though. Of course, I remember plenty of Easter where we were hiding eggs in the snow.

We are planning on putting up a greenhouse this year so I hope the weather gets warmer soon. We purchased seeds that will allow us to keep some back from the vegetables we grow. This is a new endeavor for me so we'll see how it works out. We will start the seeds in the house soon.

Chris will be going to Ireland in July with his girlfriend. They plan going to the small local pubs to play with the local musicians. I have a teacher in Boyle, Ireland that I correspond with so she is helping out with information about 'the places' to go. They're booking the flight and purchasing their Euros this week. As a parent I'm a bit anxious about them having to deal with layovers, money exchange, catching trains, and everything else that goes along with the trip, but they both are quite confident about going and I'm sure they'll be fine.

Everyone else is great and up to the same old stuff; school and work. We don't have any big plans coming up; but you never know..........

What is going on?

Well the sun has finally decided to come out, at least for now. The snow is just about gone so that means it should start snowing again soon.
Today is finally a slow on. I have taken my mid terms and next week is spring break at the college, now to getting the taxes done.

The kids are doing geat. Nathan received an academic award this week so he was happy. Chris is planning a trip to Ireland with his girl-friend this summer, before they get back to the grind stone of life. They will be spending a week their; if the money part comes together. Mike is still working at his new job and learning to like it. Raynelle' has been accepted in to the Phi Theta Kappa version of Biology; can't remember the extended name. (it's an academic honors society)

Tim is doing great at work. He has lost 38 pounds so far and working on 5 more. don't ask me where he is going to lose it from. I have lost around 20 pounds. It's definatly harder for me then him.

I still have a job next year teaching, at least for now. Layoff notices went out Friday. Tim did get layed off; teaching nights was becoming a hassle anyhow.

Well, guests have arrived.

Spring is on its way

Well the rain has arrived. We are getting lakes where there used to be streams. The geese are enjoying the new found water though. We are expected to get snow by the end of the week, right when we got rid of it.

School is busy and full of getting every ones projects on schedule. Every class has a different country they are doing a project with and keeping them straight is a challenge.

The family is doing great. Nothing new on the horizon in that department. The diet is going well (yes my husband and I are dieting together) We are both within 10 pounds of our weight goal. I didn't think he would stick with it because he can't have peanut butter or bread which was his everyday snack.

Kids are great. Nothing much else to report. We spring our clocks forward this weekend, not my favorite time of year.
